Google Maps Visibility Audit is an independent diagnostic platform I developed to help healthcare practices and local businesses identify the issues limiting their visibility in Google Maps and local search.
A Google Business Profile may look complete and still underperform. Category choices, review patterns, local website signals, business information consistency and measurement gaps can all reduce discoverability. The platform turns these scattered signals into one structured, prioritised audit.
What is Google Maps Visibility Audit?
Google Maps Visibility Audit evaluates a Google Business Profile and its connected website through a transparent nine-point framework. It uses publicly available information and official Google Places API data to produce an independent diagnostic report.
- Google Business Profile completeness
- Local website optimisation
- Local authority and citation signals
- Reviews and reputation patterns
- On-page local SEO
- Local content depth
- Social and activity signals
- Name, address and phone consistency
- Measurement and conversion-tracking readiness
Why I built this diagnostic tool
Local visibility problems are often treated as isolated tasks: add photos, collect reviews or update a category. In practice, sustainable Google Maps performance depends on the relationship between the Business Profile, website, local entity signals, reputation and tracking infrastructure.
I built the audit to make those relationships easier to understand. Instead of presenting a vague score, the report identifies strong signals, critical blockers and a practical seven-day and 30-day action plan.
How it works
Submit the Google Maps link for a business and, optionally, its website and contact details. The diagnostic engine reviews the available profile and website signals, then generates a report that highlights where local visibility is being supported or restricted.
Who should use it?
The tool is useful for doctors, dentists, clinics, hospitals and other location-based organisations that rely on local discovery. It can also support agencies and internal marketing teams that need a consistent first-pass framework before planning deeper local SEO work.
The result is an independent diagnostic assessment, not an official Google metric, and it does not guarantee ranking changes. Its purpose is to make the next optimisation priorities clearer.
Google Maps Visibility Audit is an independent diagnostic product developed by İsmail Oktay Bal as part of his healthcare growth systems work across local SEO, digital strategy, automation and custom software.
